Treatment Director

Betsy Chen, M.A, BCBA, LBA, CPI Instructor with Advanced Techniques, Owner

The Treatment Director of BC Behavioral is Betsy Chen. Along with being a BCBA and a mom, Betsy is the founder of BC Behavioral. Her educational background includes a BA in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a MA in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Betsy has worked with children in a variety of different settings for the past 10 years, and with children with developmental disabilities for the past 5 years. She began her career in ABA with several contracts with school districts around the state providing school consultations, direct therapy services, and professional development to teachers. She is also a certified Crisis Prevention Institute trainer (CPI). Currently, Betsy serves as the Treatment Director of BC Behavioral providing ABA Therapy to children and families across Oklahoma.

BCBA/BCaBA Autism Experts

BC Behavioral supervisors possess in-depth knowledge of how to apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in autism intervention. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) professional and ethical guidelines. All certificants have fulfilled stringent educational requirements, a mandated amount of supervised experience to obtain certification and must obtain continuing education credits to maintain Board Certification. In addition, BCBA's are required to have a master’s degree, complete 225 academic hours in ABA specific graduate coursework and pass the Board Certification exam.

Landon Sikes M.A, BCBA, CPI Instructor with Advanced Techniques

Landon’s education background includes a Bachelors in Arts and Psychology and Masters in Counseling and Psychology from UCO. He is qualified to train and certify others in CPI training and recently led BC Behavorial’s first Behavioral Bootcamp for surrounding area school staff. Landon entered this field to help people in the special needs community, a group he feels society often forgets. He was hired as an RBT. eventually became an Intern, and is now a BCBA after passing his exam in February 2023. Landon is the BCBA for our Edmond location.

Sirena Sierra, B.A, BCaBA, BC Behavioral Scholarship Recipient, Edmond Clinical Supervisor

Sirena’s education background involves a Bachelors in Psychology from UCO. She is one of our 2 scholarship recipients and has completed her coursework for her BCaBA at the Florida Institute of Technology. She is currently one of our Edmond clinical supervisors and works under a BCBA to create behavioral reduction and skill acquisitional programs for her clients. Sirena was drawn to this field because of her enjoyment in helping children with disabilities.

Interns

Our BC Behavioral Interns are currently enrolled in classes to earn either their bachelor’s degree (BCaBA) or their master’s degree to obtain a BCBA certification. They are under the direct supervision of the BCBA shadowing the processes of ABA therapy such as conducting behavior reduction assessments including informal and formal assessment methods (i.e. FA’s, FBA’s, parent interviews), development of individual treatment plans, and weekly programming updates to individual treatment plans.

London Matthews B.A, Intern

London’s education background involves a Bachelors degree in Arts in Psychology from Lansgton University and is currently pursuing his Masters in the Teaching Learning and Leadership Special Education Program at Oklahoma State University. London began his journey with ABA Therapy because of his passion to help others and the impact on his life made by our clients. He is planning on working his way towards becoming a BCBA for BC Behavioral.

Leo Gross, B.A, Intern, BC Behavioral Scholarship Recipient

Leo’s education background includes his Bachelors in Human Health and Performance from UNT, and is currently pursuing his Doctrates in Physical Therapy and BCaBA coursework at OKC University. Leo is our other BC Behavioral scholarship recipient alongside with Sirena Sierra. His passion for helping others has aided him in the motivation to pursue furthering his education to be able to help more in need.

Alexis Tamamasui, B.A, Intern

Alexis’ education background includes a Bachelors in Sports Administration from South West Christian University. She is currently pursuing her Masters in the Teaching Learning and Leadership Special Education Program at Oklahoma State University. Her discovery in how beneficial ABA is in many peoples lives is what led her to strive to further her education in the field.

Lincoln Seward, B.A, Intern

Lincoln’s education background includes a Bachelors in Psychology from Southwestern Christian University, and is currently pursuing his Masters of Science in the Teaching Learning and Leadership Special Education Program at Oklahoma State University. His interest in learning how the human brain works and functions of behavior led him to ABA.

Administration

To ensure our company runs efficiently, our administration team handles our day to day needs to ensure the organization and internal needs of the business are met everyday.

Lindsay Stuart, B.A, Operations Director

As Operations Director, Lindsay oversees our daily operations to ensure BC Behavioral continues to run smoothly and that quality care is delivered to our clients by happy and valued employees. She graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and has been working in the ABA field since 2015. With experience on both the clinical and administrative sides of ABA, she is passionate about advocating for and providing a first-rate ABA experience for both our staff and families.

Shanta Brim, Billing Specialist

Shanta is one of our billing specialist for BC Behavioral and day to day responsibilities involve handling any insurance needs, invoices, ensuring there are no lapses in coverage to prevent disruption in therapy due to coverage. She also has also obtained her certification as a Pharmacy Technician from OCCC and Medical Assistant from Metro Tech.

Kim Davies, Schedule Coordinator, Social Media Manager, RBT

Kim is our schedule coordinator and social media manager at BC Behavioral and her daily responsibilities include creating and adjusting our company schedule every week, keeping timesheets to ensure accurate pay for our employees, and managing our website and Facebook page. She has some college history at Wharton Community College in Texas but decided to pursue becoming an RBT full time. She has been an RBT for 4 years and still assists with our clients.

Keiauna Smith, B.A, A.S, RHIT, CCS, Billing Specialist

Keiauna is one of our billing specialists for BC Behavioral and day to day responsibilities involving handling any coding services, procedures, correcting any errors in claims or invoices. Keiauna education history involves a Bachelors in Business with an Emphasis in Accounting at the University of Phoenix, an Associates in Health Information Management at Rose State College, and an Associates in Certified Coding Specialist at Rose State College. She has also obtained her certification for Registered Health Information Technician.

Behavior Therapists

To ensure the highest quality ABA intervention, BC Behavioral therapists are highly educated and experienced in direct ABA intervention. All behavior therapists receive thorough training and become registered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as Registered Behavior Technicians. All RBT’s are Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certified. In addition, behavior therapists are provided ongoing supervision and training by a BCBA and are required to meet high standards and pass stringent competency assessments.

We offer Medical and Dental insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield and Vision through VSP, as well as PTO to our full-time employees. To be full time, you will be required to work a minimum of 32 hours to access these benefits.

These scholarships are only available to our employees who have been with us for at least 1 year, in good standing, and have positive performance.
